We fund pioneering research to prevent sight loss and treat eye disease

Story

One in five people will have a serious sight condition in their life time. Sight loss doesn’t care who you are or where you are from; anyone can be affected.

The fight against sight loss is on the cusp of many breakthroughs, but we urgently need the funding to get there. Your donation to help me hit my target will help fund that research, and create a world everyone can see. Thank you.

On a personal basis My Son Harry was diagnosed with Stargardt's Disease when he was 11 years old and as we know there in no cure/prevention at present so my friends and myself are raising money doing the National 3 peaks in 24 hours to do some fundraising for Fight for Sight to help fund ground-breaking research into sight loss.

Harry copes very well and I am so proud of him, he has his challenges but keeps positive and always keeps his chin up. Darren Goodwin ( Goody) one of the team of walkers has been diagnosed with bird shot eye and Megan Davies who is a close friend of my family who was diagnosed with retinal pigment damage we are helping her with our fundraising too.

Thank you for your donations it is much appreciated and please give what you can afford and hopefully together we can make the gift of sight possible for others in the future with research.

Chris Platt, Harrys dad.
